The Future will not be algorithmic. you need to process data in real-time, and you can imagine a future where everything is instant and calculated. there'd probably be some sort of situation where there's an unexpected input -- like hundreds of millions of birds dying and wiping out the capacity for a region to produce food or listen to birdsongs.

The algorithm could probably account for this by increasing pesticides and increasing food production and keeping things contained and slowly or quickly killing all insects and almost in an instant collapsing the entire ecosystem. How to deal with this situation is up for debate, and there isn't a 'correct view' because there isn't one. Or perhaps the situation is resolved by growing food in skyscrapers. You
